A Void’s Reflection

Music lives where resistance cracks an open space.

Digitalzelf Portrait

Music composer with a drive to explore less examined paths of music-making, using a modular system as his main tool, shaped by his own workflow and curiosity. Orchestral thinking influences the creation process, while the system itself brings what cannot be fully controlled: resistance, chance, impermanence. Each work accepts these forces and moves toward essence, speaking once to body, mind, and emotion.

Friction

Every process meets intervals of resistance. These moments are not obstacles to bypass but points of work — chances to become more aware through the act of creating.

Conscious Creation

Music is approached with intention. Each piece is both composition and self-observation, where the creator and the work shape one another.

Impermanence

Impermanence is a certainty and a tool. By remembering that nothing lasts unchanged, awareness sharpens — opening the possibility of living and creating with greater honesty and fairness.

The following manifesto was written at the genesis of Digitalzelf and continues to guide the project today. It sets out the principles and vision behind the music — where creation is both sound and self-awareness.

Digitalzef Manifesto

Introduction
Digitalzelf focuses on intentional and conscious art, where entertainment is not the only objective. I believe that music and art are powerful tools for fostering self-awareness and achieving meaningful work through the inherent friction in the creative process.

Purpose
Intentional and conscious creation is defined by a clear objective from conception to realization, and by the possibilities of self-observation it presents. It prioritizes the process itself and the inevitable friction that positions the creator as an integral part of the work, reducing the distance between creation and creator. The creator makes the work, and the work simultaneously creates and transforms the creator.

Beliefs

  • The function of art should be contained in its aesthetics, and aesthetics should be contained in the function of art.
  • The creative process is transformative: self-awareness is achieved by embracing its inherent friction.
  • Music communicates beyond entertainment, yet entertainment can be a noble aim if chosen with intention.
  • Ego has a role in the creative process when it is functional, self-aware, and necessary to achieve the artist’s objectives.
  • Ego is also a means for artists to find their unique voice and identity as creators.
  • Music is not merely a market product, but the result of conscious work and self-observation.
  • Balanced energy exchange, guided by fair economic practices.
  • Common sense as a fundamental basis for any entrepreneurship and exchange, and as a measure of the evolutionary and involutionary aspects of any process.

Vision
Digitalzelf is a path of artistic growth through presence and friction. Each work is both music and practice: a tool for awareness, a mirror of impermanence, and a step toward essence.

Conclusion
This project exists to create music with intention — not as product alone, but as conscious practice. Its highest aim is to dissolve the distance between creator and work, without identification: a state where all centers act together in the act of doing.
